I know that February is a short month but it seems to be dragging on. January flew by and we're only 20 days into February. I know that March is just next week but come on. Am I the only one that feels this way?
It might seem to take forever because I'm doing absolutely nothing right now, well, with the exception of work, but that's a given. Maybe I'm a slow learner but I came to the conclusion that I am bored out of my mind. December was super busy with shows and Christmas and January was out of control with Sketchfest and lack of sleep. I was super run down by mid-January, but now that I'm all rested, I'm so bored. I was filling up my time by playing Nintendo but the Adventures of Link is just pissing me off. I have no clue what to do next. I'm not one to use cheat codes or get help on the game, so basically I'm stuck until my brain clicks on and I figure it out. Oh, I got Mike Tyson's Punch Out last week but I just can't beat stupid Soda Popinski. I love his name but he just knocked me on my ass. I guess I just have to take a break in video gaming. It's a good thing too cause Donna was threatening to have an intervention. She saw some article on Yahoo about people who get sucked in to the video game world. Ok, one-the game they described was a role playing game, sort of an electronic verson of Dungeons and Dragons and two-I really don't play them that often. I haven't played any video games in two days. Does that sound like a statement an addict would make? I think not.
In lieu of my boredom, I was thinking of doing something different with my hair. I've threatened to shave it many times, but after the big to-do following Brittany Spears' shaved head, I've thought twice about it. It would be nice to strat all over again. No split ends, natural color, the amount of time saved in the morning not having to fuss over it. I just don't want to get the same reaction she did. We all know that if I were to shave my head, the paparazzi would be all over the place trying to catch a glimpse of my new do, and I just don't feel like dealing with it. Not to mention the crazy accusations. I'm not crazy, I just don't want hair anymore. Is that so hard to understand. Don't worry, I'm not going to shave my head. It's too damn cold for that right now.
We have had a bit of a warm up though. That's been pretty nice, huh? Too bad it didn't warm up last week. It would have saved me a trip to the mechanic. I just can't understand how a car will run perfectly fine and come morning it's virtually useless. I really need to learn more about cars, that way I would have an idea about what is wrong with them. My car had issues starting, understandable with the cold temperatures, then it was shaking like crazy, was it still cold or was something else going on, and finally it had issues accelerating, this I knew was a bad sign. I had to take back roads to the mechanic, and they told me they had to run a test to see what was wrong with it, should only take 1 hour. Ok, 2 hours later they figured out that two of my cylinders in my engine weren't firing and they had to replace that piece, but they don't have the piece so they had to wait for someone from Saturn to bring it over. Eleven o'clock rolls around I decide to go get a hot dog, well bascially do anything that could get me out of the mechanic's--there was no heat in the building. I came back and they were done by 12:30. I drove home, picked up a check and drove to the bank. BOOM! My check engine light goes back on. I went back to the cold mechanic and they uttered something about the catalytic converter and said that it was covered by Saturn, so I had to go to the nearest dealership. When I got there, they said that they have to figure out the problem, even though I told them what it was, and it should take a half hour. TWO HOURS LATER. They came up with the same conclusion as the other place. They did something, but had to order another piece, so I have to go back sometime this week for them to finish it. I spent approximately 8 hours at the mechanic, so much for missing out on work, and they still aren't done. I think that they should have just given me a new car. Hell, I deserve it.
Maybe that's why I'm not happy with February. I'm bored, need a haircut and found out my car was shit. I hope March holds something great for me, otherwise, I'll end up making a huge purchase that I can't afford and will have to spend the next five years paying it off. I am due for a big purchase. I haven't had one since April. NO! Gotta save money for Vegas. Yeah, I'm taking a trip to Vegas in May. It's my first time there. I can't wait to gamble 24-7!!!
